Life is unpredictable, and we all need a helping hand at one time or another. 

Cooperstown is a kind community that welcomes families, and The Angel Network embodies this spirit. We are linked in with local family resources and the school district, so we are well positioned to identify and meet the unique individual needs of financially-vulnerable students and their families. 

With a focus on discretion and individual attention, The Angel Network of Cooperstown has been helping families for over 10 years and is truly a community effort that extends beyond the walls of the school buildings. 

Since the start of 2024, The Angel Network of Cooperstown:

•  Organized winter holiday gift drives for over 119 local children and their families.

•  Funded Thanksgiving meals for 16 local families, which is double the number helped in 2023.

•  Ensured that 47 Cooperstown students had all the necessary back-to-school supplies to begin the new school year.

•  Distributed over 100 gas and grocery cards to local families to help with the rising costs of gas and food. 

•  Funded several scholarships for academic tutoring, as well as after-school and summer programs.

•  Helped many local families pay for emergency heating oil, car repairs, rent and other basic utilities.

•  Provided basic academic and dorm needs for a 1st generation college student attending college for the first time.

•  Provided care baskets for local families with children needing serious medical care.

•  And fulfilled many other individual requests!

While the needs may seem small, the impact upon the children and their caregivers is large. When a student is able to fully participate in school activities alongside their peers it makes a difference. Families-in-need are respectfully supported as they struggle to balance their home expenses and safely getting their children to school each day.  

We are a grassroots organization run by local volunteers who lift up our neighbors when they need it the most. We require funding from many generous benefactors to keep our operations running.
